2: My Name is Konohamaru!
Naruto becomes friends with the Third Hokage's grandon Konohamaru. Konohamaru learns from Naruto that he can't become Hokage from killing his grandfather.

3: Sasuke and Sakura: Friends or Foes?
Naruto is put in Team 7 with Sasuke and Sakura, who are all Genins. It becomes clear that Naruto likes Sakura and hates Sasue, Sakura likes Sasuke and hates Naruto and Sasuke doesn't like anybody.

4: Pass or Fail: Survival Test
The team meet their Jonin team leader- Kakashi Hatake, who gives them a test. Naruto attackes Kakashi head-first and is defeated. Sasuke steps in and fights Kakashi.

5: You Failed! Kakashi's Final Decision
Sasuke is defeated, even though he fights better than Naruto. Kakashi defeats Saukra by trapping her in a Genjutsu. Naruto sneaks around and finds the two lunches that Kakashi brought along for the team. Kakashi then catches him; then he lectures everybody about team work. As a punishment, Kakashi lets the whole team eat lunch except from Naruto. Sasuke feeds Naruto anyway since Naruto was hungry and Kakashi passes them since they have relised that protecting ones freinds is more important than rules.

7: The Assassin of the Mist!
Tazuna admits that the mission was more dangerous than he had said it was to begin with. The group are angry with him but once they hear his story, they want to help him. The group is soon stopped by Zabuza, who is powerful enough for Kakashi to reveal his Sharingan eye.

8: The Oath of Pain
Kakashi is captured in a prision of water when he is caught off guard. Kakashi tells the young genin to escape, but Sakura and Naruto are determined to free him. The genin devieve Zabuza, forcing him to stop his attack.

9: Kakashi: Sharingan Warrior!
Kakashi and Zabuza continue their fight. Kakashi copies Zabuza's attack and gains the upper hand. A masked ninja appears and killes Zabuza and takes his body before Kakashi can defeat him. Kakashi collapses.

10: The Forest of Chakra
At Tazuna's home, Kakashi rests and recovers. When he wakes up, he relises that Zabuza is still alive. The masked hunter-nin is revealed to be Haku, a boy who Zabuza looks after. Kakashi trains the genins to run up a tree with out using their hands to prepare for their next fight.
